Howdy. As a straight-haired redhead, mind you I believe we're a different caste than the curly sort. I have no qualms with saying that I don't trust other natural redheads - the guys have all been jerks, the women all whores. Being a combination of both I think it's safe to say that there's probably a reason we're recessive, but hey, at least they don't think we're possessed anymore.

But at least we don't have to dye our hair to try and look different. I have NEVER met another natural redhead who has dyed their hair fully. So that's just swanky.

You shouldn't stereotype red heads so negatively!

I don't agree with the crude remarks you've made about red-heads. I'm a natural red-head and have never been a "whore" as you described red-headed women. Also, now that I'm older and have to cover-up some gray, I do have it colored. The colorist is amazing and makes the shade match almost identically.

And for your comment about straight versus curly red-heads being different - what are you talking about? You sound ridiculous. I have wavy, somewhat curly red-hair and it's beautiful. Everywhere I go people say, "Of course your hair is naturally red and curly, right?! I hate you!" Many other women only wish that they could have red hair or curly hair.

Consider yourself lucky to be a red head and unique. Our hair color has nothing to do with our personalities either. I am mild-tempered and sweet. I was an easy-going kid too. As far as red-headed men go, I dated one once. He was fun, energetic and adorable! Red headed men are cute and shouldn't be concerned about it. Many women find the red headed men very attractive!

Reply by Deb at RR: Hi Jon and thanks for your input. Very interesting reading and I have to admit your opinions on straight-haired vs curly-haired redheads is a new one for me. Needless to say sounds like you've had some negative experiences with other natural redheads and sorry to hear it. Although I'm not a natural redhead, my 2 daughters are and I personally haven't experienced the negative stuff you have with natural redheads...so please don't give up on all of them! There ARE some pretty incredible people out there.
