People used to call me ginge and fire crotch, etc., but you have to ignore them. You are beautiful and unique no matter what they say. Be proud of who you are !!!!!
My almost 14-year-old son, with curly red hair, recently has been called "hot crotch." I wondered if this was common, something new/current, or...?? Anyway, seeing the reference to "fire crotch" is helpful, just because, if the occasion arises and we can talk about this, and I'll know that he's not unique in being blessed (NOT!) with unkind and even raunchy nicknames.
Father of a redhead, whose own mother and father were redheads, and whose maternal aunt was a redhead, *and* whose two brothers-in-law are redheads...and so it goes....

Thanks. I'm only twelve and I still get these comments daily. I hope my advice helps you to cope with any sort of teasing. Remember you are a gift from God and you are loved.

Reply by Deb at RR: Thanks Nicole for your good advice. Sounds like you've also had your share of teasing and dealing with the nicknames. You should be proud of how you see yourself...unique. I agree with you that redheads ARE beautiful. There are always people out there who speak negative about others, so don't let them affect how we see ourselves. Yes, be proud of you..!!
