Strong willed red head

My 6-year-old red head is definitely different from other kids. She is very strong willed and very curious. She doesn't just take "because I said so" for a reason. I've learned to be patient with her as she explores her world. When she asks a question, I've learned to answer her honestly with enough information to satisfy her. Too much info is also not very good.

I'm glad to have a strong, confident little one; she will be a brave leader some day, unlike me who was taken for granted and never learned to say 'NO' at times! I've also learned to let her think that it was her decision. For example, I will ask her "Won't it be nice if we had a clean home when visitors came?" ...seconds later she's tidying up her toys! She loves competition and I often make chores and tedious tasks a game to see who can finish first! Love your red head - they are VERY special people!

Thanks Charmaine for telling us about your 6-year-old daughter. She sounds like quite a young lady who keeps you on your toes! I like your creative ideas to make chores more fun -- still works for me as an adult too :) LOL!!

Her qualities of having a strong will, etc., are given to her for a reason and I agree she could be a future leader. I pray that God will give you wisdom ! Thanks for sharing and please visit again.
