Sex Offender Registry Guide
Keep your red heads safe --- Know WHO is living in your neighborhood by checking a sex offender registry.
Parents and adult caretakers of kids have a right to know if a dangerous sexual predator lives in your neighborhood.
As parents of red heads, we were always extra cautious. We KNEW our beautiful kids 'stood out' from the crowd and easily noticed because of their hair.... and because of that it was a concern they could be targets for pedophiles....I PRAISE GOD that they were kept safe and I never had to deal with the trauma and pain that some adults have had to endure in this situation. Years ago, information about offenders was not easily available.... But NOW, because of the Internet, adults and parents can easily access information on a sex offender registry. You can also learn about "lure's" used by molesters (see below).
What is a sex offender registry? It's a listing of known registered sex offenders living and working in a certain area.
By U.S. law, convicted sex offenders must inform authorities and local police of their current address and when they move. This requirement may change for them or only be required for a certain number of years. Some offenders have completed their sentence, on parole or probation, and subject to certain restrictions such as proximity to schools or daycare, using the Internet, etc.
Each of the 50 states in the US decides what info is available to share with the public but often includes the sexual offender’s name, address, photo, nature of crime, and when it occurred. This info may be available on public websites, newspapers, community meetings, and others... While it is against the law to harass an offender (and you could go to jail for doing that), these registries let you identify sexual predators in your neighborhood that may come in contact with you and your family (even their proximity with schools/daycares) so you can be vigilant.
(The United Kingdom has the ViSOR (Violent and Sex Offender Register), which lists those considered violent or could be sex offenders. Check your country and local police authorities for any registries.) There are some registries that are FREE and others CHARGE a fee for their services. I've listed just a few I've found for you to check out...It's up to you if you to do further research and whether to use them or not....

He's interviewed hundreds of convicted sex offenders to discover HOW they would entrap their victims, or "lures". He has appeared on Oprah Winfrey, CNN, Today with Katie Couric, Primetime, etc., with the goal of education and prevention of child molestation.
