School Yard Teasing Doesn't Last Forever

by Cade
(Sydney, NSW)

I'm not a red head, but I was viciously teased through my school years due to being an effeminate male. Always remember, school does not last forever and once you've endured it, you'll be a much more emotionally stronger person than those who gave you so such grief during those years.

As a kid I strove to fit in and follow the crowd and craved acceptance to no avail, but as an adult I do everything I can to march to my own beat and be unique in any way I can. Individuality is something to be admired, not denigrated! Embrace your individuality, it's a beautiful thing!

Hi Cade and thanks for sharing with us! Your story points out that anyone can be the victim of teasing and bullying, just because they are different. I was saddened to hear about what you had to endure in school, but wow....you came through the experiences with great insight and appreciation for our own individuality. I join with you in saying: embrace who you are -- we are unique individuals! Thanks for your honesty and advice...and please visit again...
