Red Birds: Honorary Red Heads


Redheaded ParrotHere are some gorgeous red birds with
red, orange, auburn, golden colors that I’ve chosen to be part of my 'honorary red heads' pages.

The animal kingdom displays such beauty and variety of colors, and the birds shown on this page are a wonderful example! There are the little bright red cardinals and then the larger birds with just a tuft of red on their head...

A "Red-headed duck" -- An American duck (Aythya Americana) highly esteemed as a game bird. It is closely allied to the canvasback, but is smaller and its head brighter red. Called also American poachard, grayback, and fall duck.
