My ginger father

by Stephanie
(Ohio)

Steven Schmidt
Born October 1, 1943, Cincinnati, Ohio

My father was a police officer in our city for 25 years. He was a good, strong man, and the best father a girl could ask for. I miss him terribly.

The picture I provided is an old family picture. My dad is on the left.

How Handsome!
by: Mrs. Geraghty

I love that color. It's pretty near what is in my family. I've got a little boy with that color and he looks just like my grandfather. It's so great that you had a wonderful dad. A real hero. Not many men can compare to that!!!

Your father

Reply by Deb at RR: Thanks Stephanie for sharing your father's story and photo with us. What wonderful hair color he had! -- and you obviously miss him very much. The little sailor outfits are too cute and it looks like there's a hint of red in the younger boy (?)

I so admire police officers, who often must put themselves in harm's way to protect others. He must have been a very dedicated, caring, and hard-working man. You are a blessed woman! Thank you for celebrating your father's life with us.
