Beverly Sills (1929-2007) Born Belle Miriam Silverman in New York (Nickname: 'Bubbles'). Beverly was a highly talented, very successful Jewish-American operatic soprano, with her singing career mainly between the 1950s and 1970s. One of opera's most famous singers! She was a lovely redhead with a bubbly personality. She retired from singing and in her later years became the general manager for the New York City Opera and also Chairman of the Lincoln Center.
Bonnie Raitt (born 1949) American blues singer and songwriter, political activist. This famous singer with her signature red hair and streak of blonde/white is also a Grammy Award winner.
Adam Lambert (born 1982) Born in San Diego, California, he is a singer, actor, and songwriter. Although his hair is dark black, he is actually a natural strawberry-blonde redhead. (See my "VIDEOS" page.) He has rocketed to stardom after his performances on the TV program 'American Idol', 8th season. His 1st album 'For Your Entertainment' was released November 2009 with record sales. He has been performing since a youngster in school and musical theater. Able to perform multiple genres, he has also sung Hebrew songs for religious events, as is Jewish. He has appeared on talk shows 'Larry King Live' and 'Oprah'.
Naomi Judd (born 1946) Mother of Wynonna Judd as well as famous singer, songwriter, health activist and often seen with reddish hair. With her daughter, Wynonna, they were a very successful country music singing duo, 'The Judds,' winning numerous Grammy Awards. At the pinnacle of their career, Naomi was forced to retire after being diagnosed with potentially fatal hepatitis C. Often appearing with reddish hair, she apparently is now cured and has gone on to be a crusader for health, domestic violence (herself a victim), women and more.

Reba McEntire (born 1955) US country music singer and actress. This famous singer is a spunky, talented red head and one of the best-selling female artists, known as ‘The Queen of Country.’ Her father and grandfather were Champion steer ropers; thus, Reba and her siblings ended up singing at the rodeos, as the "Singing McEntires." Reba later cut a single in 1976 and her career took off with a long successful career! She has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She has appeared on Broadway, in films, and TV. She has her own TV sitcom in USA called 'Reba' -- talented lady!
Richard Tauber (1891–1948)Austrian tenor, famous mainly during the 1920s. This famous singer was considered by some critics as one of the greatest singers of the 20th century. This red-haired singer performed at the Dresden Opera, Vienna State Opera, Berlin State Opera, plus toured abroad in London and the USA. He died of lung cancer and is buried in London.

Tori Amos (born 1963). (Myra Ellen Amos) American singer, songwriter, alternative rock musician/performer on the piano. This red head has a bit of reputation for eccentric, ribald comments and her activist views on certain subjects. Apparently she's written a musical that's due to open in London, April 2012.
Wendell Hall (1896-1969) Redhead US country singer, songwriter/troubadour and ukelele player famous mainly in the 1920s and 1930s in America. This famous singer was called the 'red-haired music-maker' or 'pineapple picador.' He made recordings and was heard on the radio. He played several stringed instruments but he excelled at the ukelele, which served him best as he published a book on how to play it and also designed custom ukeleles that collectors still buy. Willie Nelson (born 1933) US country singer and songwriter, actor, poet, author. Considered by some an American icon with his cowboy/hippie with trademark red hair in 2 long braids under his bandana. Some famous singers have a unique trademark and that's his! He recorded a 1975 album entitled 'Red Headed Stranger'. Wynonna Judd (born 1964) Pretty red-haired American country music singer, (real name Christina Ciminella.) This talented famous singer is the daughter of Naomi Judd and was part of the hit country music mother/daughter duo ‘The Judds.’
Clay Aiken (born 1978) Young red head singer who became well known on the American TV singing contest show 'American Idol' -- 2nd season 2003. His career has since skyrocketed, with his 1st album 'Measure of a Man' in 2003 by RCA going platinum. Other successful albums have followed, plus multiple tours.
This famous singer has also published a best-selling memoir 'Learning to Sing: Hearing the Music in Your Life' in 2004. The book covers the bullying he endured, family issues, and learning to love himself, and pointing out people in our lives who affect us in positive ways. He's appeared on several TV shows and talk shows, plus has had his 1st Broadway role in 'Spamalot' by Monty Python. Also has served as a UNICEF ambassador.
Nicola Roberts (born 1985) Pretty red head with a unique look, she has been the youngest member of the highly successful British pop group "Girls Aloud" -- She's not only a famous singer and dancer but has also recently started her own beauty products called 'Dainty Doll' which she hopes to expand in the future.
She has recently spoken out against false tanning products (she had done this when performing) and has begun to love herself and her own unique beauty....bravo Nicola. Plus -- in Feb 2010 was voted "The Sexiest Red Head of All Time." (Read her quotes.)
Florence Welch (born 1988) Fiery redhead is a highly acclaimed British female singer, with the recording name "Florence and the Machine" (Florence + the Machine). The band sound is a combination of different genres such as indie rock, soul, and others. Her band's debut hit 2009 album 'Lungs' won the 2010 BRIT Awards. 'The Times' described her as "the most peculiar and most highly acclaimed female singer of the moment." The pretty redhead continues to win multiple awards and tour Europe. She had worked as a model, nightclub dance, and TV presenter before her singing career with the 5-member all-girl group 'Spice Girls.' She's had several solo albums and singles, with the 1983 song 'It's Raining Men' for the film soundtrack of 'Bridget Jones's Diary' plus a video game 'DDRMAX2 Dance Dance Revolution 7thMix.' Because of her fiery red hair and sassy attitude, she was nicknamed 'Ginger Spice' and often wore wild stage outfits. She left the Spice Girls in 1998. She's released several yoga DVDs, appeared on various TV programs, is writing children's books, and doing work for various charities worldwide. Her "stage name" is The Divine Miss M and has played roles in theater and multiple films, even voiced for animated films, toured in her own shows plus recorded multiple hits. This famous singer and actress has been awarded Emmy Awards, Grammy Awards, Golden Globes, and Tony Award.

Ron Vigue (born 1965?) Born in Niagra Falls, New York, this talented red head is the executive director for the Atlantic Symphony Orchestra (ASO). With a degree in Music Education, graduate work in composition, he had been the executive director for The Boston Camerata music group. He then spent over 3 years as executive director of Philadelphia’s Orchestra 2001 ensemble before his Atlantic Symphony position. He describes himself as an "eccentric redhead."
