Famous Redheads

....Having red hair AND being famous....

What a wonderful combination!

* Famous person = a widely known person, widely popular (even if for brief time)
* Famous = widely known and esteemed, honored for achievement; notorious, celebrated

-- I SEE A REDHEAD! --
Honestly, once you start a list like this it's addicting!

Now, when I find myself 'spotting' red hair (real, painted or drawn), I have to write it down!...It's pathetic really!

(It's a bit like buying a certain car model and then suddenly you notice ALL the same models on the road or in ads!)

-- THE LIST OF REDHEADS --
Of course, not everyone listed is a 'natural' redhead and some are known to have dyed their hair red and yet are still accepted as being a 'redhead'. I'm not going to get too picky about that one or split hairs on the issue.

I've tried my best to confirm that they really are redheads, natural or otherwise. There are some celebrities or historical figures who were rumored or said to have red hair but some just cannot be verified easily, some even being listed on other websites. Some of it is based on folklore, a painting, newspaper reports, etc.

The other dilemma is HOW to organize a list of famous people like this! That's pretty challenging as some famous redheads cross over into different categories since they are multitalented. I expect the list will be regrouped at some point? Aack!
