Famous Redheads

....Having red hair AND being famous....

What a wonderful combination!

-- DEFINITIONS --
* Famous person = a widely known person, widely popular (even if for brief time)
* Famous = widely known and esteemed, honored for achievement; notorious, celebrated

-- I SEE A REDHEAD! --
Honestly, once you start a list like this it's addicting! Now, when I find myself 'spotting' red hair somewhere on a person, place, or thing, I have to write it down! I can't seem to help myself...It's pathetic really!
-- THE LIST OF REDHEADS --
By choice, I've included "redheads"who:

• are "NATURAL REDHEADS"
• have DYED their hair red
• have worn a red WIG for a role or movie

I had originally wanted only 'natural' redheads, but for some people we just don't know for sure!! -- thus the frustration here and my decision. Information is often based on folklore, a painting, newspaper reports, rumors, inaccurate information, etc., and just can't be verified easily (even being listed on other 'redhead' websites).... So, I've tried my best to confirm that they really had red hair at one time, natural or otherwise.

Whether natural or not, I'm not going to get too picky about that one or split hairs on the issue...
(Also check out the ** "Top 10 Sexiest Redheads" ** list from 2010 at bottom of this page -- not sure I agree with all of these, personally!)

The other dilemma is HOW to organize a list of famous people like this! That's pretty challenging as some famous redheads cross over into different categories since they are multitalented. I expect the list will be regrouped at some point? Aack!
