This list of famous people with red hair is made up of individuals who didn't really fit into the other categories I had set up. So, I just created a 'miscellaneous' group of famous redheads here....

Sarah Ferguson "Fergie" ["Duchess of York"] (born 1959) On the famous people list for once being married to Prince Andrew and thus former member of the British Royal Family and Duchess of York. One of those famous people who's changed her image quite a bit over the years. She has been a spokesperson, charity patron, writer, and producer. She is one of producers of a 2009 biopic movie about the British monarch Queen Victoria called 'The Young Victoria' that stars Emily Blunt (as Victoria) and Rupert Friend (as Prince Albert). Also had 6-part docu-series on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) called Finding Sarah in June 2011. Her eldest daughter, Beatrice, is also a redhead.
She's authored several children's books, about a redhead girl named 'Little Red', plus newer book 'Tea for Ruby' - probably with a British cultural point of view. She's announced that her books will be made into films as well.
Princess Beatrice of York (born 1988). This pretty redhead is the eldest daughter of Sarah, Duchess of York, and Prince Andrew, Duke of York. She is the 1st female in line of succession to the throne (but 5th in line). Her younger sister is Princess Eugenie.
Prince Harry (Prince Henry of Wales) (born 1984) The handsome red head is the youngest son of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana and also is the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II. He chose to serve in the Armed Forces, being commissioned as a 2nd lieutenant in the Blues and Royals of the Household Cavalry Regiment. (Read his nicknames on my "Nicknames" page.) His elder brother is Prince William. One of the famous people constantly in the news, in 2010 he was voted one of the "Top 10 Sexiest Red Heads of All Time." Jan 2010, artist Nicky Phillips unveiled her royal portrait of Prince Harry and his brother, Prince William, in full military uniform. However, Prince Harry reportedly felt his 'hair is too ginger' in the painting.
John Glenn (born 1921) US politician , US Senator, former Marine fighter pilot, and former US astronaut -- one of those very talented and successful famous people to say the least. He was the 1st American to orbit the earth and later flew aboard the Space Shuttle Discovery at age 77. Says he got his red hair from his mother, who had luscious auburn hair.
On his historic 1962 NASA flight aboard 'Friendship 7', he was only allowed a few pounds of personal items. Included was an Ansco Autoset camera that he used to photograph the earth. (Camera info courtesy of Kevin McClintic -- read my interview.)
Angie Everhart (born 1969) Former model for 'GLAMOUR' and 'ELLE' magazines and probably the 1st redhead on their covers. Gorgeous redhead. Has made a few movies as well as made guest appearances in TV series such as '3rd Rock From the Sun,' 'Law and Order: Special Victims Unit', and 'Caroline In The City'.
Lily Cole (born 1988) Stunning red head British model, actress, and humanitarian/environmental supporter. Has modeled for multiple retailers and appeared in well-known magazines like 'Vogue.' She's won multiple awards for modeling including 'Model of the Year' by British Fashion Awards and in 2009 listed by Vogue Paris as "one of the top 30 models of the 2000s." Like many famous people, she's branched into acting and appeared in multiple films like 'St. Trinian's'in 2007, 'Rage,' and the 2009 'The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.' She also appeared in several music videos, such as one for "Girls Aloud." She apparently wants to concentrate more on her acting. Conan O’Brien (born 1963). On the famous people list as an American TV writer, TV host and Emmy Award winner. He's known as the former host of NBC’s TV show ‘Late Night With Conan O’Brien’ and the 'Tonight Show' with his wild red hair and zany humor. His red hair apparently comes from his family's heritage of Irish Catholic, with ancestors from County Kerry, Ireland. He often jokes about his hair and has a lot of fans. After being removed from his 'Tonight Show' job/gig, Conan returned to the stand-up comedy circuit in April 2010 at the San Diego Civic Theatre plus on cable TV network TBS with his new comedy show Conan.
Rebekah Wade (born 1968) British journalist and newspaper editor, previously of 'The Sun' but now chief executive of 5 British newspapers under the parent company, "News International" as of Sept. 2009. Born in Warrington, Cheshire, she decided to become a journalist at age 14. At age 31, she became one of the youngest newspaper editors,working for 'News of the World.' In January 2003, she became the 1st woman editor of 'The Sun'. Also the founder and former president of 'Women in Journalism' organization. Like a lot of famous people, she has a colorful personal life and has been called "the most charming tabloid operator of all time." In July 2011, she resigned as chief executive of 'News International' after alleged wrongdoing. Has thick curly red hair.
Wendy The cute redhead mascot from 'Wendy's Old Fashioned Hamburgers' restaurant chains. Dave Thomas founded the fast-food restaurant in 1969.
The red-haired mascot is named after Dave Thomas's 4th child, Melinda Lou "Wendy" Thomas Morse (seen here in a photo taken years ago, posted in a Wendy's restaurant).
Vin Scully (Vincent Scully) (born 1927) While some famous people are known for their acting or gorgeous figures/face, this red-haired US sportscaster is famous for being 'the voice' of the American baseball team, the Dodgers, for over 60 years. (Formerly the 'Brooklyn Dodgers' and now the 'Los Angeles Dodgers'). At age 22, he started calling the Brooklyn Dodger games and in his 80s is still going strong. A pleasure to listen to, he's considered by some to be the greatest American sports broadcaster of the 20th century. His Irish mother had red hair.
Red Barber (Walter Lanier Barber) (1908-1992). American sportscaster for American Major League Baseball as well as college and pro American football games. When innovative baseball executive Larry MacPhail (with Cincinnati Reds, Brooklyn Dodgers, and New York Yankees 1933-1947) started broadcasts of major league baseball on TV, Red announced the first-ever TV commercials. So, when MacPhail moved from the Cincinatti Reds to Brooklyn Dodgers, he took Red with him to broadcast Dodger games. Red was also a mentor for another fellow redhead sports announcer, Vin Scully (seen also on this page).

Liz Claman This beautiful, smart redhead formerly worked at CNBC and now is afternoon anchor for the financial TV shows: - 'Countdown to the Closing Bell' and 'Business Bulls and Bears' at Fox Business Network (FBN). She joined FBN in October 2007. Like many famous people, she has beauty AND brains. She's passionate about her financial reporting, yet looks lovely. In an interview by FORBES, she calls her wardrobe 'business sexy'--The idea is to look approachable without taking viewers' attention away from the news. "To attract," she says, "not distract." Her fans have nicknamed her "The Red Fox." Read her quote about being a redhead.
Carrot Top (born 1965) Real name, Scott Thompson, but this popular American comedian's stage name is "Carrot Top." Famous for his brilliant red hair and creative visual jokes, prop inventions and puns. He writes his own material and creates his own props. He's a Florida college graduate and son of a NASA scientist. This pop culture icon became popular on college campuses in 1990s and is still performing in Las Vegas, Nevada, clubs nationwide, and making appearances in TV spots, films, and ads. He won the American Comedy Award for Best Male Stand-Up in 1994. Like other famous people, he's been noticed recently for his face changes and dramatic muscle gain. Some of his humor and gags can be 'adult content' and he pokes fun at just about everybody. Like him or not, he's an amazingly creative and witty redhead.
Arthur Godfrey (1903-1983) An early American radio and TV broadcaster personality, entertainer. He was very popular in the 1950s with his own shows. Introduced sometimes by his nickname of ‘The Old Redhead’ because of his freckles and red hair. He played the ukulele and sang (having several hits), became host of the popular CBS 'Arthur Godrey Time' morning radio show and prime-time variety show Arthur Godfrey's Talent Scouts' -- then the popular TV show 'Arthur Godfrey and his Friends.' He appeared in a few films and also became a pilot.
Later dying of lung cancer, Arthur is seen here on the far right in the Chesterfield cigarettes ad along with some other famous people - singers Perry Como and fellow red-haired Jo Stafford.
Kari Byron (born 1974) Pretty artist who helps host the TV show 'Mythbusters' on Disney Channel. Often appears as lovely redhead. As a sculptor, she helps the show's team members (including redhead Adam Savage) build various experiments to test different myths. She's made several talk show appearances and at conventions.
Joy Behar (born 1942) Talkative red-haired Italian-American personality. Originally a radio talk show host and stand-up comedienne, in 1997 she then joined the TV panel talk show 'The View' with Barbara Walters. (With its multiple co-hosts, 'The View' won a Daytime Emmy award in 2009.) She's appeared in several films and TV programs plus co-hosted other TV talk shows, authored several books, and in 2003 was a 'Jenny Craig' diet spokesman. As many famous people do, she branched out and in 2009 began hosting her own talk TV program 'The Joy Behar Show.'Read her quote about her red hair.
