Carole Shelley (born 1939) Born in Britain but now a naturalized US citizen, this talented red-haired actress has spent most of her career in the American theater on Broadway. She became known for her bubbly role as one of the Pigeon Sisters, Gwendolyn Pigeon, in her debut in the 1965 Broadway production of 'The Odd Couple,' also appearing in the 1968 movie version starring Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau and subsequent TV series. This Tony award-winning actress continues to appear on stage and do films such as 'Bewitched' and voicing for Disney films characters.
Shirley MacLaine (born 1934) Often seen as a redhead, this American award-winning actress of films and theater is also a dancer, author, and activist. Her brother is actor Warren Beatty. Her debut film role was in Alfred Hitchcock's 1955 movie 'The Trouble with Harry.' She's appeared in numerous hit films including 'Terms of Endearment,' 'Around the World in Eighty Days,' 'Some Came Running,' 'Steel Magnolias' and 'The Apartment.' This famous actress has won and been nominated for multiple Golden Globes and Academy Awards. This famous actress also is involved in several TV projects and authored several books. She has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Emma Thompson (born 1959) Talented famous actress actress and screenwriter, born in Britain. She's won numerous acting awards. Notable films include 'Remains of the Day,' 'In the Name of the Father,' 'Sense and Sensibility,' and 'Nanny McPhee.' In the film 'Howard's End' she appears as a lovely redhead, a role which won her Best Actress awards. She also plays in the popular 'Harry Potter' films.
Lotte Lenya (1898-1981) Remembered by many for her role in the 1963 James Bond film 'From Russia With Love' as the red-haired sadistic antagonist Colonel Rosa Klebb. The fictional character Klebb was a former Russian SMERSH agent who defects to the evil SPECTRE organization with the title "No.3" under boss Blofeld. Actress Lotte also was nominated for an Academy Award in 1961 movie 'The Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone.' A talented performer, Ms. Lenya is known in the German-speaking and classical music worlds for performing the songs of Kurt Weill.
Swoosie Kurtz (born 1944) Pretty red-haired American actress whose father named her "Swoosie" -- referring to the WWII B-17D Flying Fortress (The Swoose). She began in theater, still active there, having won multiple Tony Awards and nominations. This famous actress established a career in TV, winning an Emmy Award and multiple nominations. Notable TV appearances include her role in the 1990s drama 'Sisters' and other roles in 'ER' and 'Lost' to name a few. She's also appeared in various films such as 'Liar, Liar' in 1997 opposite Jim Carrey.
Drew Barrymore (born 1975) Not a natural redhead, this American actress has appeared as a pretty redhead (and other hair colors) for different roles. She portrayed a lovely red-haired Dylan Sanders in the film 'Charlie's Angels.' Drew is also a film producer, film director, model and spokeswoman, Ambassador Against Hunger for the UN. Beginning acting at a very young age, this famous actress is known for her role as Gertie in the 1982 film 'E.T' She also has a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Her film career started when she appeared in her award-winning role as Rita in the 1983 film 'Educating Rita,' a role she’d played on the stage. She’s won a long list of acting awards and honors over the years. Her 1st novel was published in 2006, Maggie’s Tree. She came in 4th in a public poll of ‘50 Greatest Stars’ by ITV. This famous actress is currently well known for her role as red-haired mom of the redhead Weasley family, Molly Weasley, in the Harry Potter films. She again starred with Harry Potter co-star, Rupert Grint, in the 2007 film 'Driving Lessons.' Also great as the dancer teacher in 2001 film 'Billy Elliot."
Robin Christopher (born 1970) This American soap opera actress is famous for her longstanding role as Skye Chandler Quartermaine, appearing as this character in 3 different TV daytime drama series - All My Children, One Life to Live, General Hospital. Most of her career has been acting in TV roles, appearing in classic shows over the decades but is best known playing in the TV series Happy Days as the mom, Marion Cunningham (1974-1984).
Alyson Hannigan (born 1974). Of Irish and Jewish descent, this red-haired American actress appears mainly in TV and film roles. This famous actress is probably known best from the American TV series 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' as character Willow Rosenberg plus in the American situation comedy series 'How I Met Your Mother' as Lily Aldrin. Also appeared in the series of 'American Pie' movies. She makes occasional TV guest appearances plus helps promote breast cancer awareness.
Julie Hagerty (born 1955) Often seen as a pretty redhead, this American actress began modeling around age 15 for Ford Models. She later went into acting. She is the lovely redhead wife, Fay Marvin, in the 1991 movie 'What About Bob?' but became known for her ditsy stewardess role in the 1980 parody film Airplane! which became a hit. She's played other roles since then and appears as Hayley in the 2006 film 'Confessions of a Shopaholic.'
Andrea Sawatzki (born 1963). German actress of theater, film, and television as well as voicing for audio books. She appeared in the German films 'Bandits' and 'Das Experiment.' This famous actress also played police inspector Charlotte Sänger in the popular TV crime drama 'Tatort' (2001-2009, Hessischer Rundfunk). Charlotte Coleman (1968-2001) Although NOT a natural redhead, this talented British actress is known for her role a the quirky, lovable, flame-haired Scarlett in the successful 1994 movie 'Four Weddings and a Funeral. Appeared in theatre and notably TV roles in 'Worzel Gummidge" and 'Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit.' She tragicly died at age 33 from an asthma attack.
Lidija Kovacevic (Лидија Ковачевић) (born 1963?) This Serbian child actress is famous for playing the popular fictional character, Red Zora , in the 13-episode TV series filmed in Senj, Croatia, in 1979. The TV series was based on the teen novel 'The Red Zora' by German author Kurt Held, popular in Europe. Unknown if dyed hair for the role or not.

This famous actress's breakout role was as Phyllida (Trant) Erskine-Brown in the popular British TV series Rumpole of the Bailey, followed by films such as The Elephant Man. Notable is her role as redhead Lady Hilda Trelawney Hope in the 1986 Granada TV series The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes: "The Second Stain."
Maitland Ward Baxter Lovely red-haired actress known for her roles on the daytime series "The Bold and the Beautiful" (as Jessica Forrester), as well as in the prime-time series "Boy Meets World" (as Rachel McGuire), and the film "White Chicks" (as Brittany Wilson).
