(1920-2006). This talented American actor appeared to be a redhead, though often difficult to tell since most of his roles show him with white/graying hair. Apparently, this character actor's mother was Irish-American and his dad was Jewish. After working in various jobs, he served in the US Navy, Merchant Marines, and Army, before discovering acting. Over his long career, his typical roles were a sports coach, tough cops, a sympathetic soldier, or a trusted friend. This famous actor has appeared in multiple TV roles like 'Crazy Like A Fox' and over 100 films that included 'From Here to Eternity' and 'Twelve Angry Men.'

Tobey Maguire
(born 1975). Talented American actor who is NOT a natural redhead but did dye his hair red to portray a famous redhead jockey, Red Pollard, in the 2003 film about racehorse 'Seabiscuit.' This famous actor is probably best known for his role as Peter Parker and Spidey in the 'Spider-Man' films (2002, 2004, 2007). Tobey has worked in various TV roles, commercials, and other films as well.

(born 1980) A blue-eyed, auburn/redhead American actor who has appeared in supporting and lead roles in theater, TV productions (such as HBO and A&E), and films (including 'H.G.Wells' War of the Worlds' and 'The Elevator' with Elizabeth Berkley). He also played a British soldier in the "Freedom" Dodge TV commercial running in 2010 (Click here to view ad). His various skills include fluency in American Sign Language (ASL), which he learned for his role in the Deaf West Theater production of 'Children of a Lesser God' also starring Shoshannah Stern. Australian child actor who played in the 1982 Australian movie 'Ginger Meggs' - for which he dyed his hair red. Movie was based on Australia's longest-running comic strip 'Ginger Meggs' which is about a mischievous young redhead of the same name. (born 1974). This redhead American actor, voice actor, comedian, and TV producer has appeared in multiple movies, TV roles, and voice characters. This famous actor is known for his roles in the 'Austin Powers' movies as Scott, the son of Dr. Evil; and also as Daniel (Oz) Osbourne in 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' series, among others. This famous actor also voices characters for TV and video games.

(1917-2002). This redhead American actor appeared in multiple film, TV, and stage roles. Probably known for roles in the sci-fi films 'The Thing From Another World' (1951), 'The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms'(1953), and 'It Came From Beneath The Sea'(1956); then later in 1957 co-starred with John Wayne in 'The Wings of Eagles'. The famous actor's TV roles included Jim Bowie in 'Davy Crockett' and later in the 1950s he had his own TV series 'The Whirlybirds' which was a bit hit. Before his death, he filmed an episode of 'Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.'

(born 1934). American actor with gymnast/acrobatic training who has appeared in multiple movies and TV roles. Redhead characters include playing the youngest brother "Gideon" in the 1954 musical 'Seven Brides for Seven Brothers' in which he does amazing dancing and singing. He's a redhead as well in the 1956 MGM film 'The Last Hunt' as a half-breed tracker and skinner "Jimmy."
Although this famous actor is NOT a redhead in the 1961 musical film 'West Side Story,' it's probably his best known role -- as "Riff," the gang leader of the Jets. (His daughter is actress Amber Tamblyn).

(born 1936) Robert Gene "Red" West. Redhead American actor, songwriter, coauthor, and movie stuntman. Born in Tennessee and was close friend, driver, and bodyguard for Elvis Presley and his band. He also wrote songs recorded by some of the teen idols of the time including Elves, Pat Boone, Ricky Nelson. In the mid-1970s, he collaborated on a book about Elvis's drug problems 'Elvis: What Happened'. He worked as a stuntmen in several TV series 'Wild, Wild West' and 'The Rebel' plus guest appearances on other TV shows. He's probably known most for his role as 'Red' in the film 'Road House' with actor Patrick Swayze.

(born 1947). Red-haired American former child actor of stage ('The Music Man') and multiple films and TV appearances. He appeared on the TV game show 'Name That Tune' with USMC Major John Glenn (who later became a famous U.S. astronaut and U.S. Senator and also a redhead...read more here). Eddie was known for his lead role in the 1960 movie 'The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn' - felt more accurate to Mark Twain's classic story. (Mark Twain also was redhead...read more here...) Also appeared in Disney's 1963 'Summer Magic.' As a young teen, he recorded several hit songs 'I'm Gonna Knock On Your Door' and 'Girls, Girls, Girls' (Made to Love); he later became a record producer, publisher, and song writer.

(1922-1998). A natural redhead this American actor began acting in theater prior to and while serving in the military during WWII. This famous actor has appeared in multiple movies and American TV programs, often cast as a convict, sergeant, sheriff, tough guy, and father figure. Probably best known in the 1956-1957 TV series 'My Friend Flicka' (from Western novel of same name), playing the wise dad Rob McLaughlin. Also appeared in several episodes of the popular TV series 'Gunsmoke.' He started in movies when Republic studios began filming in Trucolor, and they needed a redhead for the role of 'Red' in their 1947 movie 'Under Colorado Skies.' (born 1959). A British actor, screenwriter, comedian, and documentary presenter. Known for his role as the red-haired dad of the Weasley family, Arthur Weasley, in the popular 'Harry Potter' movies. On BBC television he's seen in the BBC television program 'The Fast Show' plus the comedy series 'Saxondale.' This famous actor also appeared as the stuttering actor in the film 'Shakespeare in Love.'

(born 1986). Identical twin British actors. They did act together in school dramas, but at age 14 they were chosen to play the redhead twins Fred and George Weasley in the hugely popular 'Harry Potter' films. They are actually brunettes but DYED their hair red for the role as the Weasely twins. (Read their quotes about red hair.)

(born 1983). Born in New Zealand, this young actor is famous for playing redhead Percy Weasley in the popular 'Harry Potter' movies. He's also done some TV and voice work for an audio book, plus co-founded a theatre company (Painted Horse UK).

(1913-1988). This redhead German actor is probably best known for his role as greedy gold tycoon and villain Auric Goldfinger in the 1964 James Bond movie 'Goldfinger.' This former artist and cabaret performer appeared in European films but enjoyed doing American movies. Other roles include Baron Bomburst in the 1968 film 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' as well as 'Is Paris Burning?' and 'The Longest Day.' This famous actor also appeared in the 1962 German-Italian film 'The Redhead' as Kramer.

Talented redhead American child actor who began acting in radio and TV commercials, later having a role in the 2006 film 'Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby' as Texas Ranger Bobby. In the 2010 movie 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid,' (based on the popular books) he plays the nerdy freckled 'Fregley.' Actor Grayson describes Fregley as: "I'm the very weird, hyperactive kid who is the lowest in social status. The main character (played by Zachary Gordon) would not be caught dead talking to me. But my character is a very good-hearted kid, and he doesn't feel the need to become more popular. And that's what I really like about him. He doesn't really try to be something that he's not."
