Being Called Ginge!!!

I really had a rough time as a teen in England with red hair. Men would come out of the pub drunk and yell obscenities. All the boys would call me Ginge. Now, I get compliments for my hair and I'm prouder than ever to have red hair!!

Sorry to read about your difficult experiences in England growing up and the teasing...just seems so stupid that people pick on someone because they are taught to have a prejudice about hair color. So many have similar stories. I hope that living in the USA has been a good change for you! It's wonderful to hear that you are proud of your red hair! Plus... red hair is in now fashion so that sure helps :) Glad you wrote in to share your story... please visit again!
